Part of our ikat range in cornflower blue & white, made from a 70% cotton and 30% linen & woven in Mallorca.
The inside is lined in a plain blue, with a matching removable insert which fits neatly into the bottom of the bag. There is also a useful interior slip pocket, a magnetic closure and strong cord-centre ivory-coloured handles.
Trimmed with a single pure cotton blue tassel, plus our exclusive laser-etched hardwood Jenney Wren label on the inside pocket.
Ikat is a dyeing and weaving process whereby the cotton threads are tightly wrapped to act as a resist before they are dyed. They are then woven to create this beautiful and distinctive pattern.
Having visited the factory in Mallorca and watched this highly technical weaving process, I couldn't resist buying a few metres!
Measurements:
Approximately 38cm (15") wide x 30cm (12") deep. The handles stand approximately 16cm (6.5") above the top of the bag.
