Moquette Snapdragon Tote

£125.00

Only 1 remaining

Part of our new moquette fabrics range, made from a 1947 reproduction moquette called Red Snapdragon.

This pretty textured pile moquette was one of the final designs produced by the Great Western Railway and was widely used across railway coaches & saloons.

Moquette is derived from the French word for carpet and is a woven pile wool/nylon fabric in which cut or uncut threads form a short dense cut or loop pile. As well as giving it a distinctive velvet-like feel, the pile construction is particularly durable, and typically used on public transport all over the world.

Lined in a British-made, beige coloured linen & cotton mix inner, with contrasting top stitched seams.
It features an interior slip pocket, matching removable insert which fits neatly into the bottom of the bag, magnetic closure and our exclusive laser-etched hardwood Jenney Wren label on the inside pocket.

Measurements:
Approximately 38cm (15") wide x 30cm (12") deep. The handles stand approximately 16cm (6.5")  above the top of the bag.
